Terms of Service
Last updated: March 18, 2026
These terms are written for the current PredictDuel platform model. They are designed to give clearer notice of platform scope, market integrity controls, account and compliance enforcement, and the limits of current PDT-based participation.
Contracting entity placeholder: PredictDuel. Governing law placeholder: [Insert governing law jurisdiction]. Forum placeholder: [Insert exclusive courts / forum jurisdiction].
Key platform positions
- The current PDT environment is described as a non-monetary prediction gameplay and information service, not a brokerage, exchange, bank, investment adviser, or custody service.
- Market-level rules and the Prediction Contract Agreement control settlement mechanics, source hierarchy, cancellation standards, and dispute handling for individual contracts.
- PredictDuel may restrict access, pause features, delay settlement, or terminate accounts where security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or market integrity requires intervention.
- If PredictDuel later launches a money, crypto, licensed, or jurisdiction-specific product, that product may require separate onboarding, disclosures, and legal acceptance.
0. Contracting entity, notices, and implementation warning
PredictDuel is operated by PredictDuel. The registered business address placeholder for the contracting entity is [Registered Business Address, City, State/Region, Postal Code, Country].
Legal notices, dispute notices, and formal correspondence should be sent through the platform support channel and, where applicable, to legal@predictduel.com. General support requests may be directed to legal@predictduel.com.
The operator name and legal contact have been specified in this document. Before production publication, you should still replace the remaining jurisdictional placeholders, including the registered address, governing law, and forum details.
1. Acceptance and incorporated documents
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of PredictDuel, including the website, mobile or embedded experiences, account systems, APIs, market interfaces, duels, bundles, messaging, notifications, support channels, content surfaces, and related services.
By visiting the service, creating an account, connecting a wallet, submitting content, participating in a market, or otherwise using any feature, you agree to these terms and all documents incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree, you must not access or use the service.
- Prediction Contract Agreement
- Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
- Market-specific rules, product-specific rules, and feature notices displayed in the service
- Promotional or beta-specific terms where clearly stated to apply
2. Nature of the service and no advisory relationship
PredictDuel is currently operated as a structured prediction gameplay, information, and community platform. Unless and until we expressly launch a separate product under separate terms, the current PDT environment is not offered as a brokerage, derivatives venue, bank, money-services business, investment adviser, fiduciary, or custody platform.
Current PDT prediction units, points, credits, XP, rankings, badges, reputation metrics, and similar balances are platform mechanics only. They have no cash value, are not redeemable for fiat or crypto, do not represent a deposit or stored-value account, and do not create ownership, profit-sharing, interest, or withdrawal rights.
Nothing on PredictDuel constitutes legal, tax, accounting, investment, trading, or other professional advice. You remain solely responsible for your own decisions, legal compliance, and use of the service.
3. Eligibility, lawful use, and restricted persons
You must be at least 18 years old, or any older minimum age required by the laws that apply to you, and you must have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
You represent and warrant that your use of PredictDuel is lawful where you access it and that you are not subject to sanctions, trade restrictions, or other legal prohibitions that make your access impermissible.
We may restrict, geofence, or disable access based on jurisdiction, IP region, device fingerprinting, payment profile, sanctions status, abuse risk, product mode, or internal policy. Attempting to evade those controls is a material breach of these terms.
4. Accounts, credentials, and connected tools
You are responsible for maintaining accurate registration information, safeguarding credentials, controlling connected wallets and devices, and all actions taken through your account or authenticated session.
You must notify PredictDuel promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, credential compromise, wallet compromise, account takeover, fraud, or misuse affecting your account.
We may require reauthentication, disable compromised sessions, reclaim usernames, or impose additional account-security steps where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or the integrity of platform records.
5. Verification, compliance, and regional controls
To protect users and the platform, we may perform risk-based checks relating to identity, geography, sanctions, anti-fraud, abuse prevention, device integrity, and account authenticity. We may request additional information where reasonably necessary.
During review, we may delay account actions, restrict features, hold rewards, pause contract participation, suppress visibility, or limit access until review is complete.
If PredictDuel launches a future product involving money, redeemable value, or regulated operations, that product may require additional eligibility checks, identity verification, payment-provider onboarding, source-of-funds review, tax documentation, and separate legal acceptance.
6. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct
You may use the service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with market integrity, community safety, technical safeguards, and these terms.
- No market manipulation, collusion, wash trading, spoofing, sham activity, or deceptive participation.
- No abusive automation, scraping that bypasses limits, credential attacks, denial-of-service activity, malware, or reverse engineering of protected systems except where non-waivable law permits it.
- No harassment, hate, threats, intimidation, stalking, dogpiling, impersonation, spam, deceptive content, unlawful submissions, or infringement of third-party rights.
- No falsifying or distorting evidence, source materials, support records, or dispute submissions used in market review or settlement.
- No bypassing regional restrictions, compliance checks, account limits, or enforcement actions through false information, masking tools, or account sharing.
6A. Community chat, messages, and posting standards
Community chat, direct messages, comments, market threads, idea discussions, profile text, and similar interactive features are provided to support discussion, analysis, and platform participation. They are not an unrestricted right and may be moderated, limited, delayed, filtered, or removed at any time.
By posting, messaging, uploading, or otherwise contributing content, you agree that your content will comply with these terms, applicable law, and PredictDuel's community-safety and market-integrity standards.
PredictDuel may use automated systems, human moderators, rate limits, keyword controls, and account-based restrictions to detect, review, restrict, or remove harmful or abusive communications.
- No harassment, bullying, degrading insults, targeted abuse, or repeated unwanted contact.
- No threats of violence, encouragement of self-harm, glorification of death or serious injury, or attempts to intimidate users, staff, or third parties.
- No hate speech, extremist praise, discriminatory abuse, sexual exploitation, or predatory conduct.
- No doxxing, publication of personal data, invasion of privacy, or attempts to reveal confidential, identifying, or location-based information about another person.
- No false allegations, defamatory statements presented as fact, forged evidence, or manipulated media used to damage another person or distort market discussion.
- No solicitation, scams, phishing, malware distribution, off-platform payment schemes, or attempts to move users into unsafe channels.
- No posting content that is obscene, unlawful, exploitative of minors, or otherwise unsuitable for a general platform discussion environment.
6B. Rights and consequences for community content
You remain solely responsible for what you post and for the consequences of your communications. PredictDuel does not endorse user statements, trading theses, or factual claims made in community spaces.
We may remove or restrict content without notice where we reasonably believe it is abusive, misleading, unlawful, privacy-invasive, low quality, off-topic, manipulative, spam-like, or inconsistent with community safety or market integrity.
We may preserve, review, and disclose chat or messaging records where reasonably necessary to investigate misconduct, respond to complaints, resolve disputes, comply with law, or protect users, staff, and platform systems.
- Repeated or serious violations may lead to message throttling, read-only mode, content takedowns, loss of posting privileges, account restrictions, market restrictions, or termination.
- Moderation decisions may be based on context, severity, repetition, credibility of complaints, risk to users, and platform-integrity concerns rather than a single mechanical rule.
- Nothing in these terms requires PredictDuel to host, restore, or keep available any user communication or community archive.
7. Market access, orders, and operational handling
Before participating in any market or prediction format, you are responsible for reviewing the question, resolution criteria, close time, determination time, timezone, source hierarchy, special clauses, payout or scoring logic, and cancellation conditions.
Submitting an order, trade, duel acceptance, idea proposal, or bundle action does not guarantee acceptance, matching, execution, or continued availability. We may reject, delay, queue, throttle, partially execute, reverse, or cancel requests that are stale, invalid, non-compliant, technically unsafe, abusive, or inconsistent with service rules.
Displayed prices, probabilities, analytics, AI summaries, ranking implications, or market sentiment indicators are informational only and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. They do not create contractual rights apart from the actual recorded contract terms and accepted platform records.
8. Prediction contracts, settlement, and market authority
Each market is governed by the Prediction Contract Agreement together with any market-specific rules. The written contract, source hierarchy, close time, and explicit outcome logic control settlement.
Markets may resolve as YES, NO, canceled, void, push, neutral, adjusted, or under review depending on the contract terms and the circumstances affecting resolvability or integrity.
We may delay, reopen, or correct settlement where sources conflict, data is unavailable, fraud is suspected, the market was defective, duplicate markets exist, a system incident occurred, or operational review is reasonably necessary to preserve consistent treatment across users.
We may also suspend, cancel, push, or refuse markets that involve death, self-harm, assassination, serious violent harm, doxxing incentives, or other structures that create unacceptable safety, ethics, legal, or manipulation risks.
9. Rewards, promotions, points, and platform balances
We may offer points, XP, reputation, badges, boosts, premium features, promotional credits, referrals, contests, or other reward mechanics. These are promotional or gameplay features only unless we expressly state otherwise in writing for a specific product.
Rewards, promotions, and balances may be modified, paused, revoked, limited, or reversed at any time for abuse prevention, legal compliance, pricing changes, technical errors, duplicate crediting, fraud review, or program changes.
Except where a separate written product agreement expressly says otherwise, current PDT balances and rewards do not create a right to money, crypto, withdrawal, conversion, guaranteed value, or continued future availability.
10. User content, ideas, and feedback
If you submit market ideas, comments, messages, support materials, profile content, evidence, bug reports, or other materials, you represent that you have the right to submit them and that they do not violate law or third-party rights.
You retain rights you lawfully hold in your content, but you grant PredictDuel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, moderate, display, analyze, and process that content for service operation, settlement review, security, support, analytics, training, and improvement.
If you provide product feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation unless applicable law requires otherwise.
11. Monitoring, investigations, and enforcement
We may monitor use of the service, investigate suspected misconduct, preserve logs and evidence, and take action where necessary to protect users, enforce our rules, comply with law, or safeguard market integrity.
Enforcement actions may include warnings, content removal, market cancellation, reward reversals, feature restrictions, account holds, geofencing, settlement review, referral to service providers, or termination.
We may cooperate with lawful requests from regulators, courts, law enforcement, sanctions-screening providers, payment partners, cloud providers, or other counterparties where required or reasonably necessary to investigate misuse or protect rights.
12. Third-party services and external dependencies
PredictDuel may rely on third-party infrastructure, identity providers, wallet tools, analytics tools, communications providers, cloud providers, moderation systems, and data sources. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy notices.
We are not responsible for outages, data inaccuracies, policy changes, security failures, or acts or omissions of third-party services except to the extent required by non-waivable law.
References or links to third-party sites, content, or data sources do not imply endorsement and do not make us responsible for those materials.
13. Suspension, termination, and product changes
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to any account, market, or feature at any time where we reasonably believe it is necessary for security, legal compliance, operational stability, abuse mitigation, contract integrity, or enforcement of these terms.
We may modify, add, pause, discontinue, or replace features, APIs, interfaces, markets, scoring systems, settlement methods, product lines, and supporting infrastructure with or without notice where appropriate.
Beta, experimental, preview, or invite-only features may be incomplete, unstable, or withdrawn at any time. They are provided at your own risk.
14. Intellectual property
The platform software, code, interface design, branding, datasets, market formats, documentation, graphics, and other service materials are owned by PredictDuel or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property and unfair-competition laws.
Except as expressly permitted by law or by us in writing, you may not copy, sell, sublicense, redistribute, publish, train competing systems on, or create derivative works from the service or its protected content.
15. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, market availability, source reliability, error-free performance, security against all attack vectors, or suitability for your objectives.
We do not guarantee that any market, leaderboard, social content, AI-generated output, explanation, support response, or analytics display is correct, complete, current, or profitable.
You assume the risk of using the service, relying on platform information, and participating in any prediction activity made available by the platform.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PredictDuel and its affiliates, personnel, contractors, licensors, and providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, opportunities, profits, expected gains, or reputation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of 100 USD or the fees you paid directly to us for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PredictDuel and related parties from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or relating to your misuse of the service, your content, your violation of these terms, your violation of law, or your violation of third-party rights.
18. Complaints, disputes, and notices
You should first raise disputes through support with relevant market IDs, timestamps, account details, and supporting evidence. Formal notices may also be sent to legal@predictduel.com.
We may require a reasonable opportunity to investigate and attempt informal resolution before any formal proceeding is started, except where mandatory law allows immediate filing.
We may send notices to you by email, in-app messaging, platform banner, dashboard notice, or publication on the website. Electronic notices satisfy written-notice requirements where permitted by law.
- You are responsible for keeping your account email current and capable of receiving legal and operational notices.
- A notice is deemed received when delivered through the applicable channel unless mandatory law requires a different standard.
19. Governing law
Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of [Insert governing law jurisdiction], and disputes will be subject to the courts or dispute forum located in [Insert exclusive courts / forum jurisdiction].
20. Changes to these terms and miscellaneous provisions
We may update these terms to reflect legal, operational, product, commercial, or security changes. The latest version will be posted on the site with a revised effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, subject to any rights you have under mandatory law.
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our prior written consent, while we may assign them in connection with a merger, sale, financing, restructuring, or transfer of operations.
These terms, together with the incorporated policies and market-level rules, form the entire agreement governing your use of the current PredictDuel service.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute, and enforcement provisions.
- Headings are for convenience only and do not limit interpretation.
- Electronic records maintained by PredictDuel may be used to demonstrate account actions, notices, rule acceptance, and settlement history.
